I Love the Barrel

Day 2: Sunday, July 18, 2010
I Love the Barrel

An early departure from the campground lead us to Valdosta, GA for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It was Andrew's first Barrel – and we think he might have enjoyed it more than most places we've
visited.

The Georgia Steinhours

April's Aunt and Uncle live in Buford, GA – and their fabulous house and family is only topped by the delicious food they serve up at their busy table. Cousin Caitlin, resident chef, greeted us with her famous paella (with a special non-spicy version for Andrew – how sweet). We ate and ate and ate until our kid screamed for his bath – then we took turns bathing him and eating more. Perhaps we went overboard by forcing her to voice-record her recipe on Mark's phone because she said she couldn't possibly write it down?

Andrew had fun exploring the huge yard and the soft grass – and the garden that grows all of the delicious ingredients for the homemade (of course) salsa. While mom and Andrew headed off to the RV in the driveway for bed, Mark stayed late to play the piano and video games. This might just be the coziest campground of all – and, best of all, no bill! Thanks Georgia Steinhours!
